Position Summary

The Plant Manager serves as the principal leader on-site, overseeing all operations within the facility's perimeter and spearheading the production workflow. This role requires fostering a collaborative atmosphere among operations, sales, engineering, accounting, and logistics teams. The ideal candidate will champion continuous improvement initiatives focused on workplace safety, production efficiency, cost management, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards for all employees and visitors, promoting a culture of safety through personal example.
  • Oversee production scheduling to fulfill customer demands, ensuring timely deliveries.
  • Maintain a strong emphasis on customer service and proactive communication within the team.
  • Collaborate with the engineering department to guarantee the accuracy of drawings and designs utilized in the manufacturing process.
  • Manage procurement of materials and services essential for the facility's operations.
  • Effectively recruit, supervise, orient, train, and retain operational and product staff.
  • Uphold a clean and organized workplace that is always ready for tours.
  • Interpret technical drawings, plan production tasks accordingly, and guide employees in producing quality products.
  • Possess the ability to operate standard tools on the plant floor, such as overhead cranes and hand tools, to enhance coaching and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Lead and mentor team leaders, motivate staff during daily meetings, and promote safety best practices across all levels.
  • Execute any additional responsibilities as assigned by the General Manager as deemed necessary.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a Production Manager capacity within an industrial manufacturing setting.
  • Experience in precast/concrete or building materials is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated success in fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the plant.
  • Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods in a production environment that may lack climate control.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to direct and collaborate with other team leaders.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $115,000-$130,000.
