Retail Operations Leader

General Overview

As a pivotal member of our team, you will be responsible for driving sales and enhancing customer satisfaction. Your role will focus on achieving and surpassing corporate goals in various measurable aspects of the retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Sales Generation

Foster sales growth by delivering exceptional customer service.

Performance Assessment

Regularly evaluate the sales performance of team members, providing constructive feedback aligned with corporate objectives.

Visual Merchandising

Ensure adherence to visual merchandising standards, maintaining an inviting and organized store atmosphere.

Product Knowledge

Maintain comprehensive knowledge of products to assist in selling and merchandising efforts.

Professional Standards

Ensure all team members uphold a professional appearance in accordance with company dress code policies.

Expense Management

Safeguard company assets by following established retail policies. You will be responsible for preparing store schedules and ensuring adequate coverage while adhering to wage control guidelines.

Inventory Control

Implement policies for effective inventory management, including receiving, transferring, and conducting product counts.

Documentation

Maintain accurate records in compliance with company policies and relevant laws.

Store Operations

Oversee the opening and closing of the store, following operational procedures.

Team Leadership

Guide and develop store associates through comprehensive training programs, setting goals for sales and operational tasks.

Recruit and mentor personnel to meet operational objectives while adhering to company policies.

Encourage compliance with all established policies regarding inventory, funds, and property management.

Engage in effective communication with team members at all levels.

Required Skills and Qualifications

A minimum of two years of post-secondary education coupled with one year of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets while minimizing losses.

Proven leadership capabilities, with experience in delivering training and assessing knowledge retention.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.

Proficient in operating computers and relevant software applications.

Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and maintain a standing position for extended periods.

Willingness to travel for training and business meetings as necessary.

Education

Relevant educational background is preferred.

Reports To

Position reports to upper management.
