Position Overview

The Plant Manager serves as the principal leader on-site, overseeing all operations within the facility's boundaries and steering the production workflow. This role requires fostering a collaborative atmosphere among operations, sales, engineering, accounting, and logistics teams. The ideal candidate will champion continuous enhancements in workplace safety, production effectiveness, cost management, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations among plant personnel and visitors, cultivating a culture of safety.
  • Manage production schedules to fulfill customer demands, ensuring timely delivery of products.
  • Focus on exceptional customer service and maintain proactive communication within the team.
  • Collaborate with the engineering department to guarantee the accuracy of drawings and designs used in production.
  • Oversee procurement of materials and services essential for efficient plant operations.
  • Effectively recruit, supervise, train, and retain operational staff.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workplace that is always ready for inspection.
  • Interpret technical drawings, plan production tasks accordingly, and guide employees in correct product manufacturing.
  • Possess operational knowledge of standard tools on the plant floor, such as overhead cranes and batch plants, to enhance coaching and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Lead and motivate teams during daily meetings, set clear expectations, and promote best safety practices across the plant.
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned by the General Manager, as deemed necessary.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a Production Manager role within an industrial manufacturing setting.
  • Experience in precast concrete or building materials is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated success in fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the plant.
  • Ability to remain active on your feet throughout the day in a production environment, which may be subject to temperature variations.
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other team leaders.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $115,000-$130,000.
  • Eligibility for annual bonus opportunities.
