{"h1": "Engineering Sales Position", "p": "At Standard Supply & Distributors, we are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Salesperson to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for calling on and working with engineering firms across North Texas to develop and maintain strong relationships with owners and consulting engineers.

Your primary goal will be to increase the percentage of bids received specifying our products (Basis of Design) through effective engagement with building owners and consulting engineers. You will also be responsible for ensuring high customer satisfaction ratings.

Key Responsibilities:

* Establish and strengthen relationships with owners and consulting engineering firms to develop an outstanding working relationship of trust and technical competence.
* Interface with estimating and commercial, industrial, and control sales engineers to coordinate project opportunities.
* Coordinate with manufacturer rep partners to inform/educate engineers on products and services through joint sales calls, lunch & learns, and factory trips.

* Solid sales and business development background: skilled in prospecting, engages with customers on their level, builds trust, and closes deals.
* Drive for results: is action-oriented and focused on producing good outcomes; can be counted on to exceed goals successfully; steadfastly pushes self and others forward to the goal.
* Customer focus: is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers. Establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect.

Qualifications:

* Minimum of 3 years of commercial HVAC experience in engineering, contracting, or HVAC product sales.
* Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering preferred.
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to professionally work with and manage strong and diverse personalities.
* Effective sales and prospecting skills.
* High emotional IQ - relationship building skills.
