JUNIOR PROJECT COORDINATOR


WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? The Junior Project Coordinator plays a vital role in the planning, execution, and successful completion of projects within the Bank, adhering to established timelines, milestones, and budget constraints.

This position involves gathering resources, planning capacity, and effectively coordinating and motivating all project team members, contractors, and consultants to ensure seamless delivery of project outcomes.

Project Coordinators assist in defining project objectives, scope, and requirements, ensuring high standards of development and execution throughout the project lifecycle.

City National Bank Project Coordinators are expected to follow the CNB Project Management Lifecycle Methodology.


What you will do: Assemble project teams, assign individual responsibilities, identify necessary resources, and develop schedules to guarantee timely project completion and adherence to deadlines.

Identify opportunities to enhance and streamline operational processes to elevate the overall client experience.


Engage in meetings to clarify project goals and achieve consensus on project steps, schedules, and implementation procedures; promote collaboration and involvement from support teams.

Conduct interviews with colleagues and clients to assess needs; formulate project plans and provide insights for recommendations regarding requests or problem resolutions.

Identify both internal and external resources to ensure successful project outcomes.

Monitor development activities to meet project objectives, budgetary constraints, quality standards, and timelines.


Manage multiple projects of varying sizes concurrently and consult with all levels of management, which may require coordinating activities across various departments and divisions.

Prepare project status reports and make necessary adjustments to project plans as required.

Foster and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and clients to ensure processes are integrated to support expected customer service levels. Act as a business partner by managing expectations and providing guidance throughout the project duration.

Comply fully with all Bank Operational and Credit policies and procedures, as well as all regulatory requirements (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act, Know Your Client, Community Reinvestment Act, Fair Lending Practices, Code of Conduct, etc.).

Complete all mandatory training.

Must-Have:
*Minimum 2 years of experience in a project management role

Minimum 2 years of work experience in a banking or financial services environment

Skills and Knowledge:

Bachelor's degree preferred

Proficient in all aspects of project methodology, management tools, and techniques across all project activities.

Strong understanding and planning skills in all aspects of a system/business project lifecycle.

Ability to identify excessive cycle times and/or costs and develop alternative strategies associated with the project's lifecycle.

Capability to manage resources directly and through cross-functional teams.

Knowledgeable about current issues and trends related to the banking industry's products and services.

Aptitude to prioritize and analyze measurable product and service characteristics along with associated target values.

Ability to set and develop strategic goals and techniques for a project and effectively communicate these to all project team members.

Compensation:
Starting base salary: $65,296 - $104,304 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This position is eligible for bonuses and/or commissions.
