Position Overview
The Civil Engineering Department within AECOM's Transportation Business Line is seeking a motivated **Junior Civil Engineer**. The successful candidate will collaborate with a team of engineers to contribute to the design of diverse transportation projects, focusing on roadway enhancements and safety improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site investigations and gather existing data to inform project designs.
- Perform technical calculations to support project development.
- Assist in the creation of roadway construction plans, including grading and traffic control measures.
- Utilize civil engineering software such as Bentley OpenRoads Designer or Autodesk Civil 3D to develop 3D models.
- Contribute to the preparation of technical documentation and project specifications.
- Work under the guidance of senior engineers to ensure projects adhere to budgetary and scheduling constraints.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam or eligible to take it within the next six months.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, MicroStation, and other civil engineering software.
- Previous internship or work experience in highway design or related fields.
