Position Overview:


We are seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to fill the role of Assistant Superintendent. This position is crucial for overseeing various aspects of construction projects, including managing subcontractors, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and coordinating the procurement of materials.

You will play a vital role in ensuring that projects are executed efficiently, adhering to timelines and budget constraints. If you are a proactive problem-solver who excels in a fast-paced environment, we would like to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Assistant Superintendent, your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing all phases of construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Supervising onsite personnel and subcontractors to ensure project success.
  • Maintaining site safety by enforcing all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Coordinating the ordering and delivery of essential materials and equipment.
  • Ensuring adherence to quality construction standards and proper techniques.
  • Collaborating with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, and clients.
  • Upholding high standards of workmanship in line with original plans and specifications.
  • Preparing internal and external reports regarding project status.
  • Negotiating terms of agreements, drafting contracts, and securing necessary permits and licenses.
  • Assessing, managing, and mitigating risks on the construction site.

Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Project Engineer, Assistant Superintendent, or in a comparable role within the construction sector.


  • Demonstrated experience in managing construction projects and subcontractors while ensuring site safety.
  • Proficient understanding of blueprint interpretation, construction processes, equipment, and OSHA guidelines.
  • Strong planning abilities with a comprehensive perspective.
  • Competence in conflict resolution and crisis management.
  • Excellent time management and project oversight skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation capabilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction budgeting and scheduling.
  • Experience in safety management and maintaining site safety.
  • Experience with multifamily projects is highly preferred.
