Job Summary

The Nebraska District Court is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Courtroom Deputy. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the court, ensuring the smooth operation of court proceedings, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the court, including preparing documents, managing files, and coordinating with court staff.
  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of court records, including case files and court calendars.
  • Coordinate with court staff to ensure the efficient operation of court proceedings, including scheduling hearings and trials.
  • Provide customer service to court users, including attorneys, litigants, and the general public.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by court staff.

Requirements

  • High school graduation or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least two years of specialized experience in a clerical or administrative role, preferably in a court or legal setting.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Conditions of Employment
