Hotel Front Desk Agent Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Hotel Front Desk Agent to join our team at Canterbury Hotel Group. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, managing reservations, and ensuring a seamless stay for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guest Registration: Register guests, collect necessary information, and assign rooms.
  • Reservation Management: Manage online and phone reservations, including verifying credit card data and informing guests about payment methods.
  • Guest Communication: Welcome guests, provide information about hotel amenities, and respond to client complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Room Assignment: Liaise with housekeeping staff to ensure rooms are clean and tidy, and assign rooms to guests.
  • Upselling and Cross-Selling: Offer additional facilities and services to guests, when appropriate.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain updated records of bookings and payments.
Requirements:
  • Work Experience: 1 year of experience as a Hotel Front Desk Agent, Receptionist, or similar role.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with hotel reservations software, such as Opera, Cloudbeds, and RoomKeyPMS.
  • Customer Service: Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a customer service attitude.
