Position Overview
The Ethanolproducer is seeking a dedicated Finance and Accounting Supervisor to oversee the financial operations of our facility. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial systems.

Key Responsibilities
As the Finance and Accounting Supervisor, you will:
  • Manage all finance and accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and inventory.
  • Lead and mentor the accounting team, ensuring robust backup processes for critical operations.
  • Establish and implement departmental goals and objectives aligned with the company’s vision.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate financial reports, including monthly board reports and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely transactions and collections.
  • Ensure payroll processing is accurate and timely, and manage monthly reconciliations.
  • Monitor compliance with accounting policies and government regulations regarding commodity purchasing.
  • Review fixed asset processes and ensure capital project expenditures are tracked and reported accurately.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive accounting policies and procedures.
  • Assist external auditors during annual audits and collaborate with department leaders to analyze and consolidate financial information.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is required; CPA or MBA is preferred.
  • Proven leadership experience and a detail-oriented approach are essential.
  • Experience in the ethanol, agriculture, or commodities sectors is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (GP) accounting software is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience with report writing tools such as Management Reporter or SSRS.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and general office equipment.
  • Public accounting experience is a plus.
  • A valid Driver's License is required.
