The Senior Cost Analyst will serve as the financial steward for the site, aiding in strategic decision-making and overseeing month-end closing procedures. Additionally, this position will focus on process optimization and project-related assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary source for financial data and analysis within the facility.
  • Oversee inventory batches, address discrepancies, and ensure accurate accounting practices throughout the production cycle.
  • Contribute to the annual budgeting process for both variable and fixed costs, including departmental expense planning.
  • Assist in the completion of month-end closing tasks.
  • Lead the annual physical inventory assessment and support ongoing cycle counting initiatives.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to analyze cost variances and implement strategies to reduce overall expenses.
  • Prepare and evaluate monthly financial reports and analytics in partnership with operations.
  • Work alongside operations to monitor and report on cost-saving projects.
  • Assess ROI and financial implications for capital investments and significant maintenance activities.
  • Regularly review labor and overhead rates.
Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- At least 3 years of experience in accounting or cost analysis within a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with inventory transactions.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Accounting experience in a multi-site, mid-sized to large organization.
- Background in process manufacturing.
- Knowledge of ERP systems relevant to manufacturing (experience with Oracle is advantageous).
- Proficiency in SQL.
- Previous experience in project management.
