The Senior Cost Analyst will be instrumental in developing operational rates, conducting cost analysis, overseeing month-end financial reporting, and managing inventory transactions. This role serves as the financial authority for the site, contributing to strategic decision-making and facilitating month-end closing processes. Additionally, the analyst will engage in process enhancements and project-oriented tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary source for financial data and insights at the facility.
  • Oversee inventory batches, address discrepancies, and ensure accurate accounting practices throughout the production cycle.
  • Assist in the annual budgeting process for both variable and fixed costs, including departmental expense forecasts.
  • Support the month-end closing procedures.
  • Lead the annual physical inventory assessment and assist with the cycle counting program.
  • Collaborate with plant finance teams to analyze cost variances and strive for cost reduction.
  • Prepare and review monthly financial reports and analytics in conjunction with operations.
  • Partner with operational teams to monitor and report on cost-saving initiatives.
  • Evaluate ROI and financial implications for capital projects and significant maintenance activities.
  • Regularly assess labor and overhead rates.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or cost analysis within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in managing inventory transactions.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in accounting for a multi-location, mid-sized to large organization.
- Background in process manufacturing.
- Familiarity with ERP systems relevant to manufacturing (experience with Oracle is advantageous).
- Knowledge of SQL.
- Previous project management experience.
