About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Olde Mecklenburg Brewery LLC. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional leadership and guidance to our culinary personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and direct the culinary team to ensure exceptional food quality and presentation
  • Develop and implement recipes, food preparation, and plating standards that meet our high-quality expectations
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and counseling to staff members
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized kitchen environment
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef to prepare and communicate daily line-ups to the team
  • Participate in training programs and hiring processes for culinary team members
  • Manage daily staffing levels and ensure all stations are stocked, labeled, and quality-controlled
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested by the Executive Chef

Requirements
  • Culinary degree or 3 years of high-volume food establishment experience
  • Serve Safe certification or willingness to certify within 1 year
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and culinary reporting software
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
