Patient Services Representative

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Services Representative to join our team at INTEGRIS Health Medical Group Northwest Medical Center Pediatric Neurology. This role is responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Answer and direct incoming phone calls, taking concise messages and ensuring accurate communication with patients and healthcare providers.
- Collect payments for copays and deductibles, making financial arrangements for patients as needed.
- Perform check-in and check-out duties accurately and timely, ensuring seamless patient flow.
- Make appointments for visits and inform clinical employees or providers of emergencies.
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, recording information in the medical record and completing referrals to specialty providers.
- Enter patient demographics into the practice management system accurately and efficiently.
- Take clear and concise messages from pharmacies, physicians, and hospital personnel, directing them to the appropriate clinical employee or provider.
- Manage a high volume of telephone calls and patient interactions, maintaining excellent telephone etiquette and prioritizing tasks to meet patient needs.
- Organize workflow to meet patient needs in a timely manner, reporting to the Office Manager/Supervisor as needed.
- 1 year of clerical experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Experience with cashier procedures, basic accounting, clinic check-in/out procedures, and basic health insurance terminology.
- 6 months of customer service experience, with a focus on telephone customer service.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written).
