Role Summary
- The Market Insights Analyst will lead the creation and upkeep of analytics that support, monitor, and enhance both existing and new product initiatives across various retail channels. This role requires expertise in delivering analytics and insights that optimize pricing strategies, promotional activities, distribution methods, display arrangements, and shelf placements.
- Work Environment: Hybrid
- Occasional travel may be required for client presentations.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct data analysis to generate insights and recommendations related to product positioning, pricing strategies, and promotional efforts to meet sales and marketing goals.
- Engage in projects that involve analytics for topline reporting, sales assessments, category evaluations, and overall market trends.
- Identify and substantiate opportunities within specific categories or markets using customer point-of-sale data, syndicated data, competitive pricing, and market research to provide actionable insights for our clients.
- Assist in the preparation of reports for meetings and develop narratives and presentations to effectively convey category insights both internally and externally.
- Create regular reports that enable category leadership to swiftly grasp market trends and opportunities.
- Assess the effectiveness of programs and share best practices within the organization.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with syndicated data sources such as SPINS, Nielsen, or Circana/IRI.
- Knowledge of category management principles and category reviews.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) with the ability to interpret data and validate visual representations.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills, capable of articulating complex ideas clearly.
- Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
- Proven ability to multitask and solve problems while meeting deadlines.
- A track record of teamwork combined with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated success in achieving performance goals in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a sales or analytical role within the CPG industry, particularly in Natural/Specialty food and beverage sectors.
- Background in category management.
- Experience with SPINS, Nielsen, or IRI data.
