Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Executive to join our team at BD. As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for managing a territory of existing accounts to maximize sales volume and ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a territory of existing accounts to maximize sales volume and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales goals and objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and distributors to ensure proper product availability and adequate inventory levels.
  • Conduct regular meetings with key decision makers at customer sites to review current programs and develop plans for future growth.
  • Develop business plans for existing and prospective accounts based on analysis of markets, competitors, product offerings, prices, and profitability.
  • Prepare and submit reports required by management, including monthly expense and sales reports, quarterly forecasts, and annual operating plans.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, Engineering, or other relevant field.
  • Minimum of two years experience in medical device industry with proven track record of success selling complex medical devices.
  • Demonstrated strong knowledge of clinical segment, product line, market, competition, and pricing strategy.
  • Knowledge of hospital procurement processes and procedures, contract negotiations, group purchasing organizations, and governmental agencies involved in health care delivery.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively within assigned territory.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of internal management, external customers, and outside vendors.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
