Administrative and Fiscal Coordinator, Field Operations and Administration

Job Summary
This role provides administrative support to the Senior Associate Director for Field Operations and Administration and supports the functions of Extension's district office coordinators. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing administrative, fiscal, and business functions, including addressing routine and nonroutine fiscal issues, preparing and processing purchasing, accounting, and travel forms, and maintaining accurate and timely expense reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Senior Associate Director for Field Operations and Administration
- Support the functions of Extension's district office coordinators
- Perform administrative, fiscal, and business functions
- Address routine and nonroutine fiscal issues
- Prepare and process purchasing, accounting, and travel forms
- Maintain accurate and timely expense reports
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business or related field, or equivalent level of training and experience. Experience in scheduling and coordinating the daily operations of an office with minimal supervision, performing tasks that support the operation of a professional office environment, and demonstrated computer skills in word processing applications, database management, electronic spreadsheets, e-mail, and the internet.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated competency in matters of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Demonstrated experience maintaining accounts and personnel records, strong knowledge of accounting principles, experience with Excel databases, Banner, Quicken, and an understanding of Commonwealth of Virginia policies and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
