Client Engagement Manager

The role involves promoting APQC's services to both member and non-member organizations, ensuring APQC is recognized as the leading provider of research and content in areas such as continuous improvement, knowledge management, benchmarking, performance enhancement, and business process re-engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and nurture relationships within a designated territory.
- Drive revenue by effectively marketing APQC memberships, a subscription-based service available globally.
- Meet a sales target of $40K per month or $480K annually on products priced between $11K and $25K.
- Support the renewal process for current APQC members.
- Expand the contact list in APQC's customer database for assigned accounts through referrals, outreach calls, follow-ups, webinars, and other suitable methods.
- Identify consulting opportunities to enhance the utilization of APQC research within assigned accounts.
- Respond promptly to marketing inquiries.
- Maintain accurate member information in the customer interaction and opportunity tracking databases, providing feedback to enhance APQC's offerings.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 1-2 years of experience in inside or telephone sales, with recent roles reflecting this background.
- Experience in a consultative sales setting, dealing with intangible products and services in business environments.
- Three to five years of experience in lead generation through cold-calling.
- Proficient in presenting to mid-level management in complex organizations.
- Strong skills in closing sales.
- General understanding of business principles.
- Exceptional interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient with PC-based systems, client management software, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience in creating and delivering presentations to diverse audiences.
- Strategic thinker and self-motivated individual with a strong sense of accountability.
- A college degree is preferred.
- Familiarity with measurement, knowledge management, process improvement, and strategic planning is advantageous.
