Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with the Director of Nursing (DON) to enhance and uphold the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) program. Evaluates community performance metrics, trends, and clinical outcomes; proposes, executes, and oversees process enhancement initiatives.
  • Works alongside the DON to engage with the Quality Team in developing clinical programs and procedures that adapt to the evolving needs of our clientele, ensuring favorable outcomes.
  • In partnership with the DON, serves as a conduit between residents, their families, and the nursing staff, addressing inquiries and providing insights regarding nursing care and services. Aids in incident investigations, ensuring immediate safety for residents and staff while delivering care.
  • Conducts investigations into allegations of abuse or neglect and reports findings to the appropriate organizational leadership, authorities, or professional boards as necessary.
  • Assists with physician orders and visits, as well as wound care and treatment protocols.
  • Alongside the DON, contributes to the formulation of the nursing department's annual budget, offering oversight and recommendations concerning personnel operating budgets and medical equipment acquisitions.
  • Engages in both internal and external community events and activities to promote the services and staff of Lutheran Homes Society Inc.
  • Supports the management team in staff training and educational initiatives.
  • Undertakes additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned by the Director of Nursing.

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid RN License in the State of Ohio.
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN or ASN) is mandatory; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience in nursing management is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with Matrix software is advantageous.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
