Position Overview

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for delivering care to residents in the Assisted Living Center and serves as a charge nurse for the Resident Aides. The LPN operates within their scope of practice as defined by the relevant regulatory body, under the guidance of the Assisted Living Manager. We offer full-time positions with a schedule from 7am to 7:30pm.

Benefits

Sign-on Bonus of $6,000 for full-time positions. Additional pick-up pay of $8/hour. Key Responsibilities
  • Directly supervise Resident Aides on the assigned unit to ensure high-quality care for residents.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Conduct assessments including vital signs and intake/output measurements.
  • Provide direct care, assisting with activities of daily living while addressing residents' spiritual, emotional, and physical needs.
  • Process physician orders, lab tests, and x-rays, seeking clarification when necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, family members, and others regarding resident care.
  • Facilitate new resident admissions and relay pertinent information to department heads.
  • Complete all necessary documentation related to resident care and transitions.
  • Perform change of shift duties efficiently.
  • Assist in upholding infection control protocols and policies.
  • Report any allegations of abuse or neglect to the appropriate leadership.
  • Document hazardous incidents and communicate them to management.
  • Implement emergency plans as required and participate in assigned committees.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Current LPN License in the State of Ohio.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
  • Basic computer skills are necessary.
  • Ability to learn new software applications as needed.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, capable of interacting with various stakeholders including executives, managers, staff, residents, and families.
  • Ability to understand instructions and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
