Role Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for delivering care to residents within the Assisted Living Center and supervises the Resident Aides. The LPN operates within their professional scope under the guidance of the Assisted Living Manager. This position offers full-time hours on the first shift.

Benefits Overview

Sign-on Bonus of $6,000 for full-time positions. Additional pay incentives available. Key Responsibilities
  • Directly oversee Resident Aides on the assigned unit to ensure quality care for residents.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Conduct assessments such as vital signs and intake/output measurements.
  • Provide direct care, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) and addressing residents' spiritual, emotional, and physical needs.
  • Process physician orders, laboratory tests, and imaging requests, seeking clarification when necessary.
  • Maintain effective communication with healthcare professionals, families, and other stakeholders regarding resident care.
  • Facilitate new resident admissions and relay pertinent information to relevant departments.
  • Complete necessary documentation, including medical forms and charting, as part of the resident care process.
  • Perform shift change duties effectively.
  • Support infection control measures and adhere to established policies and procedures.
  • Report any allegations of abuse or neglect to appropriate leadership.
  • Document and report hazardous incidents to management.
  • Participate in emergency preparedness and disaster response planning.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Valid LPN License in the State of Ohio.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
  • Basic computer proficiency required.
  • Ability to adapt to new software applications as needed.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to follow directions and respond to inquiries promptly.
