Leidos is in search of a skilled Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to become a vital part of our team. In this role, you will contribute to the development of innovative solutions for intricate challenges.

As a key player within the project team, your responsibilities will encompass engineering tasks related to the design and production of hypersonic manufacturing systems. This includes ensuring component and process compliance, identifying and reporting non-conformances, conducting Root Cause Analysis, and supporting the completion and submission of First Article Inspections (FAI).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee Non-conformance and Corrective Action processes for Technical Product Support (TPS).
  • Assist in the monitoring of Quality Metrics and Trends.
  • Facilitate Quality Inspections.
  • Utilize inspection methodologies, including Blue Light Scanning.
  • Review customer-specific requirements and ensure compliance within operational processes.
  • Participate in contract reviews to clarify responsibilities concerning regulatory obligations.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to track company-wide quality metrics.
  • Develop and refine quality-related procedures and work instructions.
  • Engage with customers to determine non-conformance resolutions and corrective action strategies.
  • Conduct investigations and root cause analyses to foster process improvements.
  • Create quality documentation, including inspection reports, bubble prints, Corrective Action Requests (CARs), Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs), Request for Waivers (RFWs), and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
Basic Qualifications:

A Bachelor of Science degree is preferred, or an equivalent qualification from an ABET-accredited institution, accompanied by a minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Engineering within an AS9100 framework or equivalent experience in Department of Defense (DOD) environments, along with at least 5 years in a manufacturing setting.

An Associate's degree in Science is acceptable, or an equivalent qualification from an ABET-accredited institution, with at least 7 years of experience in Quality Engineering under AS9100 or equivalent DOD experience, and a minimum of 7 years in a manufacturing context.

If lacking a degree, a High School Diploma or GED, combined with at least 10 years of experience in quality and/or quality engineering under an AS9100 system or equivalent DOD, Aerospace, or Automotive manufacturing quality control, is required.

Qualified candidates must hold an active Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification.
  • Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
