Leidos is in search of a skilled Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to become a vital part of our team. This role is pivotal in developing innovative solutions for intricate challenges.

As a key contributor, you will engage in engineering tasks related to the design and development of hypersonic manufacturing systems. Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Overseeing non-conformance issues and implementing corrective actions.
  • Supporting quality metrics and trend analysis.
  • Conducting quality inspections.
  • Utilizing inspection methodologies, including Blue Light Scanning.
  • Reviewing customer-specific requirements to ensure compliance.
  • Participating in contract reviews to clarify responsibilities regarding regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborating with engineering and production teams to track company-wide metrics.
  • Creating quality-related procedures and work instructions.
  • Engaging with customers to address nonconformance and corrective action strategies.
  • Performing investigations and root cause analyses to enhance processes.
  • Generating essential quality documentation such as inspection reports, CARs, SCARs, RFWs, and NCRs.

Basic Qualifications:

A Bachelor of Science degree is preferred, or an equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited institution, accompanied by a minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Engineering under an AS9100 framework or equivalent DOD experience, alongside at least 5 years in a manufacturing setting.

An Associate's Science degree is acceptable with at least 7 years of relevant experience in Quality Engineering under AS9100 or equivalent DOD experience, and a minimum of 7 years in a manufacturing environment.

Alternatively, a High School Diploma/GED with at least 10 years of experience in quality and/or quality engineering under an AS9100 system or equivalent DOD, Aerospace, or Automotive manufacturing quality control may be considered.

Qualified candidates must hold an active Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer
  • Lean Six Sigma certification
  • Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) is preferable
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
