SUMMARY: The CalMHSA EHR Support Specialist plays a vital role in the administration and deployment of a behavioral health electronic medical record system that serves numerous counties across California.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze and review training materials to comprehend EHR processes.
  • Address live chat and helpline inquiries, offering training resources and escalating intricate issues as necessary.
  • Document and monitor requests utilizing designated software.
  • Engage in the evaluation of training content.
  • Deliver virtual training sessions for users when required.
  • Assist in setting up new user accounts.
  • Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations while managing patient data.
  • Compile and submit reports to the relevant state authorities.
  • Support data cleanup initiatives.
  • Respond to questions and provide necessary assistance.
  • Collaborate with supervisors, update information systems, and generate reports.
  • Conduct data analysis and prepare presentations for stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field with at least one year of relevant experience.
  • Experience in supporting EHR functionalities or implementations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to manage priorities and work collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Background in clinical or billing environments.
  • Additional qualifications in Information Technology.

COMPUTER SKILLS: Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe, and Outlook.

LANGUAGE and MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Strong communication skills and mathematical proficiency.

REASONING ABILITY: Utilize common sense and analytical thinking in task execution.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to sit, stand, use a phone and computer, and lift items up to 10 pounds.

SENSORY DEMANDS: Requires concentration and attention to detail.

MENTAL DEMANDS: Capable of managing deadlines and interacting with diverse individuals.

WORK SCHEDULE: Flexible based on organizational needs, typically during standard business hours.
