Job Title: Controller - Accounting Leader

At Satellite Shelters, Inc. | Satellite Industries, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to lead our global and domestic accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Leadership: Provide daily oversight and leadership to our accounting team, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Financial Close and Reporting: Oversee the monthly financial close and reporting process, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Accounting Operations: Lead the continual development and improvement of all accounting and finance operations, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Work with senior managers to create budgets and forecasts, aligning with our company's strategic objectives.
  • Financial Analysis: Present financial data and financial statements to senior managers, providing insights and recommendations for business growth.
  • Ad Hoc Reporting: Prepare ad hoc reports as requested by senior managers, providing timely and accurate information.
  • Compliance: Ensure accuracy of accounting and financial information, adhering to GAAP and regulatory requirements.
  • International Tax: Responsible for US tax filings and international tax filings, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Policy Development: Assist with the development and maintenance of policies and procedures for regulatory compliance and business activities.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting required, Master's in Business and/or CPA preferred.
  • Experience: 7+ years prior work experience in accounting required, 2+ years of experience in a leadership position required.
  • Skills: Demonstrated analytical skills, ability to identify priorities, excellent verbal and written communication skills, computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, and Sage X3 proficiency a plus.
