Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive security policies and standards that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist the Chief Information Security Officer in prioritizing strategic initiatives and assessing and prioritizing remediation of security risks in a cost-effective manner.
  • Develop and maintain a robust risk management program that identifies, assesses, and mitigates cyber risks to Fairview Health Services.
  • Collaborate with IT, Cyber, Emergency, and Facilities Management teams to prescribe, validate, and audit reasonable security controls and procedures.
  • Responsible for IT governance and validation to test security controls and policy compliance, including user access, privileged access, data access, and protection.
  • Develop and operationalize a strategy around cybersecurity metrics, manage the Cyber Risk Register, and collaborate with teams to report security metrics and communicate policies and controls.
  • Partner with IT and Cybersecurity peers to maintain the integrity of core asset management and configuration management systems and assets.
  • Oversee security risk and compliance assessments and associated processes for on-premise, cloud, mobile, and IoT-type applications and devices.
  • Collaborate with internal and external audit teams to assess compliance with regulatory, financial, and security requirements.
  • Manage third-party vendor assessments, audit vendor access to IT systems, and govern overall risks and exceptions of third-party vendors.
  • Assist the Chief Information Security Officer in representing Fairview's CSRM group and reporting identified cybersecurity risks to leadership and recommending remediation and/or compensating controls.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • At least 15 years of IT experience, with a minimum of 5 years of direct leadership/management of security teams.
  • Proven experience leading one or more Information Security organizational functions, including cyber risk management, third-party risk management, security operations, identity and access management, regulatory compliance management, and business continuity and disaster recovery.
  • Deep understanding and knowledge of regulatory compliance, including PCI, HIPAA, SOX, HITRUST, and SOC-2.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication and presentation skills to various levels in the organization.
  • Ability to implement innovative ideas to improve delivery standards of services owned to internal and/or external customers.
  • Experience managing accountability for budget planning, forecasting, and managing operating budgets and/or P&L for departments managed.
