Position Summary:

The Branch Manager is a vital management role that demands strong leadership capabilities and a thorough, hands-on understanding of all branch operations. This position is responsible for maintaining existing business while driving new business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and supervise all branch personnel to ensure the consistent achievement of sales, profitability, and customer service goals.
  2. Oversee and/or execute all duties assigned to Customer Service Representatives.
  3. Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager and National Sales Manager to set sales and profit targets along with actionable plans for success.
  4. Work with the Operations Manager to determine inventory levels that support customer fulfillment objectives while achieving desired inventory turnover.

Additional Duties:

  1. Review daily reports to ensure accurate data entry and invoicing related to sales and margin goals.
  2. Prepare various sales and activity reports as requested to assess performance and provide relevant information.
  3. Coordinate product orders with the Operations Manager and/or Logistics Manager to meet market demands and inventory objectives.
  4. Participate in weekly management calls, providing sales estimates and updates on local market conditions.
  5. In partnership with the Regional Sales Manager, organize vendor/customer training sessions, trade shows, and local/regional trade association events.
  6. Provide site specification and installation support, including vendor participation when necessary.
  7. Ensure all branch activities comply with established processes and procedures as outlined in the operating manual.
  8. Collaborate with the Office Manager to ensure adherence to all administrative requirements, including collections for outstanding accounts receivable.
  9. Evaluate the performance of all branch personnel according to established standards and recommend compensation changes and improvement actions as needed.
  10. Perform all duties as defined for Customer Service/Sales Representatives.

Performance Metrics:

  1. Achievement of company, region, and branch sales and gross profit targets.
  2. Inventory turnover rates.
  3. Management of branch operating expenses.
  4. Order fulfillment efficiency.
  5. Customer satisfaction levels.
