Responsibilities
  • Team Development & Management: Recruit, interview, hire, and retain top talent within the transportation department. Provide ongoing coaching, training, performance evaluations, and feedback to foster a high-performing team environment.
  • Operational Excellence: Plan, review, and revise driver schedules to optimize efficiency and minimize costs. Conduct route observations to ensure drivers adhere to company standards and safety protocols. Oversee the performance of our truck leasing partner to guarantee timely repairs and maintenance.
  • Compliance & Safety: Maintain strict adherence to DOT regulations and company policies. Monitor drive camera footage for compliance and conduct regular audits to ensure operational excellence.
  • Customer Focus: Build and maintain strong relationships with franchisees, store managers, and other stakeholders. Provide guidance to the transportation team on customer service best practices and act as a role model for positive interactions.
  • Financial Management: Prepare the annual Transportation department budget for review and approval. Manage payroll and oversee expenses to ensure financial accountability.
