Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, starting at 4 PM until tasks are completed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and resolve operational challenges, assisting team members in troubleshooting issues.
  • Collaborate with team members to assess incoming merchandise and customer orders to organize work tasks.
  • Partner with the Warehouse Manager and Lead Driver to coordinate delivery schedules for truck drivers.
  • Delegate specific responsibilities to team members, including verifying incoming merchandise quantities and assembling orders for dispatch.
  • Establish and oversee work schedules, ensuring effective job assignments and timely completion of tasks.
  • Supervise Leads, warehouse personnel, and other supervisors to guarantee efficient warehouse operations.
  • Recruit and train warehouse staff, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills for safe and effective equipment operation.
  • Communicate company policies to team members and enforce safety standards; propose initiatives to motivate staff towards achieving operational goals.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and recommend personnel actions, including promotions and disciplinary measures.
  • Suggest improvements to enhance quality and recommend adjustments in working conditions and equipment usage to boost efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal regulations related to warehouse operations, including DEA and OSHA standards.
  • Collaborate with non-warehouse departments such as Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, Sales, and Customer Service to synchronize warehouse activities.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Windows-based applications and the ability to access and utilize reports pertinent to essential job functions.

Qualifications:

  • General knowledge in various foundational subjects, equivalent to a high school diploma; a four-year college degree is preferred.
  • Successful completion of all company warehouse training modules leading to certification; certified on all warehouse machinery.
  • Minimum of three years of experience with Owens & Minor required; for external candidates, at least one year of supervisory experience and two years of warehouse experience preferred.
