Job Description:
As an Infrastructure Systems Architect, you will be tasked with delivering effective solutions to intricate challenges at GDIT. Your role will involve customizing advanced solutions to meet the specific needs of our clients.

Your focus will be on enhancing the end-user experience, while we prioritize your professional development.

Responsibilities:
As an Infrastructure Systems Architect, you will be responsible for the design, configuration, and troubleshooting of server, storage, and application architectures.

Manage the operational and maintenance tasks of server hardware and software. Oversee Microsoft Active Directory objects, Group Policy Objects, and DNS zones/records. Ensure system security by implementing practices and procedures, monitoring usage statistics and logs, and addressing vulnerabilities. Establish and maintain baseline configurations and modify configuration settings as necessary. Develop and implement troubleshooting and incident response protocols.

Diagnose system-related issues and provide leadership and mentorship to junior administrators.

Possess a deep understanding of networking architecture to facilitate server and application design and troubleshooting.

Stay updated on operating systems/software analysis and technological advancements. Advise management on future directions or projects.

Provide expertise and guidance in the development, modification, and documentation of software programs and applications to enhance operating systems.


Education:
AA or 2+ Years of equivalent experience
DOD 8570 compliant (Network + / Security + certified)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering
Experience with VMWare vCenter/vSphere 6.7 or higher
Experience with VMware Horizon VDI Desktops and Applications
Experience with NAS/SAN storage architectures and protocols
Experience with Microsoft Server 2016/2019/2022
Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP
Strong understanding of networking principles
Ability to operate at a high technical level across all phases of systems engineering activities
Excellent communication and presentation skills; demonstrates effective listening and follow-through
Anticipates inquiries and prepares comprehensive responses
Detail-oriented and organized; capable of comprehending information systems and ensuring accuracy
Provides technical direction and mentorship to less experienced engineers and administrators

Desirable Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience with Cisco UCS Fabric Interconnects and Servers
Experience with NetApp AFF/FAS Storage
Experience with F5 Load Balancers
Experience with Azure Cloud services
Experience with Rubrik Backup solutions
MCITP or equivalent preferred
ITIL v3 Foundation certification

Security Requirements:
TS/SCI Clearance Required

The likely salary range for this position is $76,500 - $103,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.

Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
