Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify system information requirements through thorough analysis in the development of large-scale information systems.
  • Design comprehensive architecture that encompasses software, hardware, and communication needs to meet both current and future cross-functional requirements.
  • Ensure systems adhere to established standards for open systems architectures, including compliance with the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) and International Standards Organization (ISO) reference models.
  • Confirm that the common operating environment meets TAFIM compliance.
  • Analyze and resolve management, planning, organization, and process-related issues, implementing suitable corrective measures.
  • Define system scope and objectives for assigned projects.
  • Develop or adjust procedures to address complex challenges, considering computer capacity and limitations.
  • Create detailed specifications for program development.
  • Oversee program design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
  • Possess comprehensive technical knowledge across all phases of application systems analysis and programming.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of the business functions for which applications are designed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
  • A minimum of 9 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient knowledge of Joint Live, Virtual, and Constructive (JLVC) Synthetic Training and DoD communications systems design, operations, and maintenance.
  • Willingness to travel 25% CONUS/OCONUS.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Active Secret Security clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain stationary for 50% of the time.
  • Frequent operation of a computer and other office productivity equipment.
  • Occasional movement within the office to access files and equipment.
