This is a full-time, direct placement opportunity at Abstrakt Marketing Group.

This role involves providing administrative and operational support to facilitate the planning and coordination of plumbing contract projects, ensuring that project goals and objectives are met within the designated timeline and budget. This is an entry-level position in project management that assists both Project Managers and Senior Project Managers. The aim for this role is to evolve into a Project Manager within a span of 3-5 years. As expertise develops, a Project Engineer may oversee the management of smaller, less critical projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the project manager throughout the project lifecycle, from initiation to completion, handling project-specific tasks such as RFIs, estimates, budgets, schedules, change orders, monthly billing, and job cost analysis.
  • Assist the project manager in planning work schedules, determining staffing needs, and coordinating field personnel assignments.
  • Help with material procurement and ordering.
  • Facilitate the coordination of project activities to ensure timely progress and adherence to budget constraints.
  • Support the project manager in directing and guiding the field team to manage project deliverables and resolve challenges.
  • Monitor labor reports, job cost reports, pre-job planning, and upcoming tasks.
  • Review technical specifications and material submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Assist in managing the RFI process effectively.
  • Prepare and submit operation and maintenance manuals and other necessary documentation.
  • Draft change orders for projects, seeking necessary approvals and managing changes to maintain project profitability.
  • Participate in pre-bid tours and meetings.
  • Follow up with contractors and engineers regarding budgeting inquiries and pricing as necessary.
  • Contribute to the preparation of comprehensive estimates by reviewing plans, specifications, and proposals, and gathering quotes.
  • Assist in organizing pre-construction meetings to ensure effective communication among the project manager, foreman, and field staff.
  • Collaborate with the project manager assistant to secure required permits and licenses.
  • Help manage project costs by tracking labor and material expenses.
Additional Information
  • Work is conducted in both office and field environments.
  • Occasional travel to project sites may be necessary.
  • This position requires effective verbal, written, and face-to-face communication with clients and field personnel.
Qualifications

Education and Experience:
  • A two-year or four-year degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
  • 0-5 years of experience in construction administration and project management support.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Strong time management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Salary Range:

$72,000 - $75,000
