Position Overview:
This is a direct hire opportunity based in Houston, TX.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily office operations and maintain procedural standards.
- Manage payroll and employee benefits administration.
- Analyze financial reports for management insights.
- Develop and implement operational systems, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate the Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) for emergencies.
- Identify challenges and propose strategic solutions.
- Collaborate with IT vendors to safeguard data and ensure network security.
- Renew contracts and insurance policies as necessary.
- Prepare and submit annual property tax filings and manage payroll tax audits.
- Ensure compliance with SEC regulations through administrative oversight.
- Negotiate with service providers on various projects.
- Lead cybersecurity training initiatives for staff.
- Consult with management on matters affecting personnel.
- Facilitate the onboarding and training of new employees.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in operations, administration, or HR, preferably in the financial planning sector.
- Experience in project management, including evaluation and execution of projects.
- Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on root cause analysis.
- High ethical standards and a commitment to confidentiality.
- Proactive approach to planning and problem-solving.
- Exceptional curiosity and a desire for continuous learning.
- Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Microsoft Access is advantageous.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with varying deadlines effectively.
