Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of HR & Employee Support Center Supervisor within our HR & Employee Support group based in Houston, TX. This role reports to the HR & Employee Support Team Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the HR & Employee Support Center Operations Team, ensuring all HR transactions and inquiries are handled or escalated accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Resolve escalated HR issues, working closely with the HR & Employee Support Team Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with all documented HR policies and procedures within the HR Service Delivery Catalog for the Support Center.
  • Monitor the operations of the HR technology systems, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of employee data.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures for the team and assist in implementing controls related to HR transactions and inquiries.
  • Supervise Support team to ensure adherence to HR procedures and controls.
  • Facilitate and support employees and managers in understanding HR procedures related to the Support Center.
  • Assist in facilitating trainings for HR as needed.
  • Monitor team's workflow and conduct performance evaluations for direct reports.
  • Develop training on new or enhanced operation procedures related to HR transactions and inquiries.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with other human resources groups within Occidental.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • Minimum 8 years of applicable industry experience in HR Operations or similar HR role.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft applications (such as Power BI, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook).
