Security Operations Officer

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Security Operations Officer (SOO) plays a crucial role in safeguarding the well-being of all personnel, guests, property, and assets within the assignments of Paragon Security Systems.
SOOs are tasked with a range of security responsibilities, which may vary based on their designated posts. These responsibilities include proactive surveillance of company premises, overseeing computer systems related to building management, access control, fire detection, CCTV, and visitor management.
Chosen SOOs for this prominent role are accountable for identifying and addressing emergencies, as well as securing all access points during critical situations. Typical responsibilities encompass processing visitors and their vehicles by verifying identification, enforcing property regulations, liaising with agency sponsors or escorts, issuing visitor passes, and maintaining accurate visitor logs or automated databases. Additionally, they are responsible for detecting and reporting any criminal activities and ensuring that visitors are appropriately screened before being presented to the relevant personnel.
Ideal candidates should possess prior security experience and excel in environments where the protection of individuals is a fundamental aspect of the mission.
Additional responsibilities include preventing, identifying, delaying, and/or detaining individuals attempting to gain unauthorized access to the facility or its personnel.

All functions, duties, and tasks must be performed in an honest, ethical, and professional manner, in compliance with applicable company policies and procedures. In instances of uncertainty regarding company policies, employees are expected to seek clarification from supervisors or authorized representatives.
SOOs may be responsible for operating all security equipment at their post, including batons, OC Spray, X-ray machines, magnetometers, closed-circuit television (CCTV), handcuffs, and, where required by the assignment, firearms while on duty.
