Position: Unarmed Security Officer I

Role Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct routine site monitoring and perimeter surveys to ensure safety.
  2. Provide public information assistance and maintain a visible presence.
  3. Enforce building rules and regulations, ensuring compliance from all individuals on-site.
  4. Manage visitor access, including issuing identification badges and escorting visitors as necessary.
  5. Utilize security equipment to enhance safety measures.
  6. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  7. Document daily activities and incidents in a duty log.
  8. Communicate effectively using telephone and radio systems.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Possession of a valid Maryland Guard Card or equivalent licensing.
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in security services.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong physical and mental capability to perform job duties.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.

Training Requirements:

  • Completion of initial and ongoing training in security protocols.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Training in de-escalation techniques and customer service.
  • Mandatory EEO training and any additional training as required by the organization.
