Key Responsibilities for Area Manager for Commercial Janitors:
The Area Manager for Commercial Janitors is tasked with overseeing the needs and duties of janitorial staff within the assigned territory. Responsibilities include supervising cleaning personnel, demonstrating knowledge of location-specific requirements, maintaining and completing necessary documentation, and addressing Partner needs.
1. Oversee all personnel within the assigned territory. Report any concerns or issues to the Customer Service team and Operations Manager as needed to ensure prompt resolution.
2. Assist in the recruitment of personnel as required.
3. Train all personnel according to the specifications of each site.
4. Instruct personnel on the use of all necessary equipment. Ensure adherence to safety protocols consistently.
5. Conduct site visits to monitor personnel performance, depending on job complexity.
6. Ensure personnel are aware of and comply with company policies.
7. Review all work orders (excluding inspections) with personnel, ensuring completion within 24 hours.
8. Confirm that all inspection and site visit work orders are finalized. Discuss feedback with personnel during monthly performance evaluations and address any issues within 24 hours.
a. Ensure all supplies, equipment, and storage areas are inspected during evaluations.
9. Maintain your transportation in optimal working condition.
10. Collaborate with colleagues as necessary to resolve issues.
11. Accurately submit nightly reports.
12. Respond to emergencies that arise within the Manager's jurisdiction.
13. Familiarize yourself with all cleaning specifications for locations within the assigned area.
14. Manage keys and alarm systems at customer locations and assist the office in maintaining accurate records.
15. Efficiently manage cleaning supplies, customer-purchased materials, and company resources to ensure optimal use, maintaining adequate supplies while preventing overstocking.
