Job Location & Core Hours: Los Alamitos Office, M-F 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Job assignments in the greater Los Angeles area will be considered.
Job Summary: The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing projects from initiation to completion under the guidance of a Senior Project Manager or Group Manager. This role requires substantial experience in the Electrical Construction Industry, particularly within the Commercial and Industrial sectors. A comprehensive understanding of project contracts, scheduling, job cost accounting, client relations, and safety protocols is essential.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze contractual obligations for all projects, ensuring compliance with specific design methodologies.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project budgets.
- Establish and manage project timelines effectively.
- Create and oversee subcontracts to align with project requirements.
- Utilize and enhance company systems and processes to fulfill customer expectations.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure clarity of expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage project review processes with a focus on financial forecasting.
- Oversee invoicing in accordance with project agreements and negotiate change orders as necessary.
- Ensure timely and accurate project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and correspondence.
- Coordinate with the Superintendent and field staff to determine appropriate resource allocation.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in Electrical Engineering or an Electrical Trade Diploma with a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in the Electrical Construction Industry.
- Proficiency in Accubid, Live Count, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Excel/Office.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to inspire and lead project teams effectively.
- Demonstrated capability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
