Responsibilities of the Area Manager for Commercial Janitors:
The Area Manager for Commercial Janitors is tasked with addressing the needs and responsibilities of cleaning personnel within the assigned region. This includes, but is not limited to, overseeing cleaning staff, demonstrating knowledge of location-specific requirements, maintaining and completing necessary documentation, and addressing Partner needs.
1. Oversee all personnel within the assigned region. Report any concerns or issues to the Customer Service team and Operations Manager as needed to ensure prompt resolution.
2. Assist in the recruitment of staff as necessary.
3. Train all personnel according to the specifications of each site.
4. Educate staff on all equipment relevant to their roles. Ensure adherence to safety protocols consistently.
5. Visit client locations to monitor staff performance, depending on job complexity.
6. Ensure that staff are aware of and comply with company policies.
7. Review all work orders (excluding inspections) with staff, ensuring completion within 24 hours.
8. Ensure all inspection and site visit work orders are finalized. Discuss feedback with staff during monthly performance evaluations and address any issues within 24 hours.
a. Confirm that all supplies, equipment, and storage areas are inspected during evaluations.
9. Ensure that your transportation is maintained in good condition.
10. Collaborate with colleagues as necessary to resolve issues.
11. Accurately submit nightly reports.
12. Respond to emergencies occurring within the Manager's jurisdiction.
13. Familiarize yourself with all cleaning specifications for locations within the assigned area.
14. Manage keys and alarm systems at client locations and assist the office in maintaining accurate records.
15. Effectively manage cleaning supplies, client-purchased materials, and company resources to ensure efficient usage, maintaining adequate supplies while preventing over-ordering.
