The Lead Cleaner III is a key member of our team at ABM Industries, responsible for providing leadership and direction to a team of cleaners. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to motivate and guide team members to achieve high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to team members, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Relay communication between team members, clients, customers, and management, ensuring that all parties are informed and aligned.
- Report performance issues to the Supervisor, and work collaboratively to resolve any problems that may arise.
- Assist with the training of new cleaning team members, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
- Assist with making daily and weekly work schedules, ensuring that the team is properly allocated and that all tasks are completed on time.
- Oversee and perform cleaning operations in assigned buildings, ensuring that high-quality results are achieved and that all health and safety protocols are followed.
- Manage security of keys and access cards for the property, ensuring that all access is secure and controlled.
- Report work orders for maintenance, and work collaboratively with the maintenance team to ensure that all issues are resolved promptly.
- Makes sure premises are secured at all times, and that all equipment and supplies are properly maintained and stored.
- Work with the Manager to schedule jobs with Property Managers and cleaning crews to complete the work, and to ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
- Oversees quality of jobs and confirms completion with the Manager, ensuring that all work is completed to the required standard.
- Provide training to all new hires assigned to the building, and ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
- Check supplies, equipment, and chemicals weekly, and report any issues or concerns to the Supervisor.
- Complete order forms completely and accurately, and coordinate equipment usage and inventories to ensure that all resources are properly managed.
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must have at least 1 year Lead or Supervisor Experience in Commercial Cleaning.
- No high school diploma, GED or college degree required.
- Must be Bilingual - English/Spanish.
Preferred Qualifications:
- One (1) year of similar work experience.
