Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Imaging Coordinator to facilitate the efficient management of imaging authorizations and referrals. The successful candidate will play a key role in reviewing and processing imaging requests, obtaining prior authorizations, and coordinating appointment scheduling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and process imaging requests from physicians to ensure timely and accurate review.
  • Verify prior authorization requirements for patients' insurance coverage and obtain necessary approvals.
  • Communicate with patients regarding the status of their prior authorizations and provide updates on appointment scheduling.
  • Coordinate appointment scheduling with patients at various facilities and ensure accurate documentation in patients' medical records.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of referral activities and perform other billing duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience working as a prior authorization specialist, imaging coordinator, or referral coordinator.
  • Expert knowledge of ICD10 and CPT coding systems.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
  • Nextgen software experience highly desired.
  • Proficient Microsoft Skills.
