Job Summary

Excelin Health Services is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Records Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing exceptional support to our clinicians and administrative teams.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Record Management: Accurately file and maintain patient records, ensuring all necessary documents are up-to-date and easily accessible.
  2. Documentation Control: Date stamp clinical notes and maintain a current log of interim orders and plans of care to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  3. Mail and Supply Management: Receive and route incoming mail, prepare outgoing mail, and maintain adequate inventory of medical supplies and records.
  4. Communication and Customer Service: Answer telephone lines promptly and efficiently, respond to messages, and record calls onto a log.
  5. Administrative Support: Process travel and expense vouchers, new patient referrals, and verification for skilled services.
  6. Clinical Documentation: Coordinate and verify clinical documentation for input, including 485-486 forms (Admission through Discharge).
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Two Years of Data Entry Experience
  • Previous Billing and Computer Experience
  • Personal Computer Skills
  • Business Machine Knowledge
