Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior RF Systems Engineer to join our team at Apex Systems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing advanced RF systems and algorithms for Electronic Warfare (EW) applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • RF Subsystem and System Design: Conduct detailed design studies, testing plans, and analysis of requirements into detailed performance design criteria in conjunction with the technical lead and direct sponsor engagement.
  • Template Design and Development: Design and build templates to assist Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in providing critical system information.
  • Product or System Design Synthesis: Conduct product or system design synthesis translating requirements into physical architectures for RF subsystems and systems of moderate complexity.
  • RF Subsystem and System Functionality Analysis: Analyze RF subsystem and system functionality as defined by requirements.
  • Interface Definition: Define/refine internal and external interfaces for RF subsystems and systems.
  • Technical Reporting: Develop technical reports and diagrams detailing design description or performance as defined by requirements.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Lead technical teams in the development of innovative methods and systems for creating dense, complex RF threat environments for EW Hardware-in-the-Loop (HITL) test systems.
  • RF Threat Environment Development: Lead technical teams in the development and integration of RF threat environments, development of innovative RF signal capture, and recording/analysis with EW HITL systems and environments.
  • RF Hardware and Subsystem Design and Debug: Design and debug of RF Hardware and RF subsystems.
  • System Integration and Test: Support the design, integration, debug and test of complex systems.
  • Technical Presentations: Support program leads in technical presentations (design reviews, test readiness reviews, etc.).
  • RF Test Events: Support RF test events for HITL, chamber, and flight testing.
Requirements
  • Experience with Electronic Warfare and RF Systems: Experience with Electronic Warfare and RF systems.
  • RF Analog and Digital Signal Analysis: Experience with RF analog and digital signal analysis.
  • Technical Leadership: Experience leading technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active Secret Clearance: Active Secret Clearance.
  • Radar Signal Simulation: Experience with radar signal simulation.
  • EWIR Database: Experience with Electronic Warfare Integrated Reprogramming (EWIR) database.
  • EW Test and Evaluation: Experience with EW Test and Evaluation in a lab environment.
  • Digital Signal Processing: Experience with digital signal processing.
  • RWR and/or EA System Design: Experience in RWR and/or EA system design, operation, and T&E.
  • RF Environment Modelling and Simulation: Experience in RF Environment modelling and simulation.
Travel Requirements

10% - 25% travel.

Clearance Type Required
