Job Title: RF/Radar Systems Engineer

We are seeking an experienced RF/Radar Systems Engineer to join our team at the Georgia Tech Research Institute. As a key member of our Sensors and Electromagnetic Applications Laboratory, you will be responsible for developing and applying digital signal processing techniques to evaluate electronic attack and electronic protection techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop requirements and direct others to perform design and theory research and lab testing tasks as task lead
  • Mentor others in developing methods and expertise in broad areas of design, theory, and testing as task lead
  • Document work of design, theory, and test in written and presentation form as team lead
  • Coordinate documentation inputs from team
  • Primary lead on the development of whitepapers and proposals in research areas of expertise
  • Primary lead on sponsors and potential sponsors engagement
  • Primary author of entire technical reports/presentations of projects, journal articles, and conference presentations

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing and predicting EA/EP technique performance
  • Developing EP techniques
  • Briefing sponsors on a regular basis
  • Documenting research in briefings, papers, and reports

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience in EA/EP performance analysis applied to radar or similar RF systems
  • Experience briefing customers or similar audience on research and work performed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Recognized subject matter expert in EA/EP applied to radar systems
  • A deep and broad understanding of radar systems

Travel Requirements:

10% - 25%

Education and Length of Experience:

This position vacancy is an open-rank announcement. The final job offer will be dependent on candidate qualifications in alignment with Research Faculty Extension Professional ranks as outlined in section 3.2 of the Georgia Tech Faculty Handbook.

9 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or Physics.

7 years of related experience with a Masters' degree in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or Physics.

4 years of related experience with a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or Physics.

U.S. Citizenship Requirements:

Due to our research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be U.S. Citizens.

Clearance Type Required:

Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain an active security clearance.
