Position Overview

The Kentucky Personnel Cabinet is seeking a dedicated Administrative Coordinator for Boards and Commissions within the Information Systems Section. This role is pivotal in providing professional assistance in the development, implementation, and maintenance of various operational activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary contact for all agency IT-related inquiries.
  • Evaluate and manage all requests for technical support submitted through the IT service system.
  • Delegate technical assistance requests to appropriate internal resources or address them directly.
  • Direct technical support requests that require external assistance to the appropriate entities.
  • Supervise all Information Management personnel, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Oversee the onboarding process for new staff, ensuring they receive all necessary equipment and training.
  • Assess the agency's technical requirements and explore solutions to meet those needs.
  • Provide recommendations to senior management regarding new software and technology options.
  • Submit procurement requests for new technological equipment.
  • Conduct testing of system upgrades and review changes to ensure operational functionality.

Minimum Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience: A minimum of four years of professional experience in computer programming, systems analysis, or systems support.

Substitutions: Related technical training may substitute for the bachelor’s degree on a year-for-year basis. A master’s degree in computer science may substitute for one year of required experience.
