Position Overview:

Preventing animal cruelty.
Promoting ethical and humane treatment of animals.
Providing shelter and care for animals in distress.
Educating the community on responsible pet ownership.
Offering accessible spay and neuter services.
Delivering affordable vaccination options.

Role Summary:

The Community Engagement Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the Development Manager with volunteer coordination and organizational growth initiatives.

This role necessitates precise data management skills and strong interpersonal abilities.

Key Responsibilities:


Develop new volunteer roles based on organizational needs and oversee scheduling.
Manage data collection and scheduling for volunteers.
Foster and maintain positive relationships with donors and volunteers.
Oversee the Pet Resource Center by organizing donations, processing payments, and supervising volunteers.
Assist with data entry for gift and donor management.
Support fundraising initiatives and special events.
Create printed marketing materials related to fundraising efforts.
Must be capable of lifting and moving items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Demonstrate a genuine affection for animals and a commitment to working in an animal care setting.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Previous experience with database management.
Ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team.
Exhibit a positive attitude and dependable work ethic.
Must be able to work independently.
Reliable transportation is required.
