Role Overview:
The Foster Care Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting our foster care initiatives by planning, assessing, and executing recruitment and outreach strategies. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive recruitment strategy for treatment foster parents.
  • Managing the entire recruitment process, including candidate screening, interviews, and training information dissemination.
  • Engaging with potential foster parents through various communication channels to provide program insights.
  • Creating and distributing recruitment advertisements to attract suitable candidates.
  • Identifying and leveraging recruitment opportunities through community networking and relationship building.
  • Conducting outreach to community referral sources to educate them about our services.
  • Maintaining accurate records of outreach efforts and inquiries from potential foster parents.
  • Participating in in-home interviews and evaluating applicants' suitability for fostering.
  • Promoting community awareness regarding the needs of children in foster care.
  • Representing the organization at community events and job fairs.
  • Organizing appreciation events for Therapeutic Foster Parents.
  • Assisting in the compilation of program evaluation data.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and maintaining accurate documentation.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field, along with four years of experience in marketing, recruitment, or customer service.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of recruitment strategies across diverse platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently while demonstrating creativity and enthusiasm.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and capable of learning new software.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships within the community.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards.

Physical Requirements:
This role requires the ability to perform sedentary tasks as well as engage in physical activities. Candidates should be able to lift up to 25 lbs and possess visual acuity for computer work.

Work Environment:
The position involves working in various settings, including community mental health centers and foster homes.
