About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Representative to join our team at Tremco Construction Products Group, Inc. as a Technical Sales Representative. This is a fantastic opportunity for a sales professional to work with a leading manufacturer of construction products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales goals and expectations.
  • Develop and manage key accounts, including architects, designers, general contractors, distributors, and end-users.
  • Drive product specifications and project opportunities throughout assigned territory.
  • Leverage industry knowledge and relationships to develop trusted partnerships with customers.
  • Prepare and deliver strategic business plans for each customer with monthly forecasts.
  • Follow the standard sales process to identify prospects, gain customer commitment, predict sales probability, and close deals.
  • Manage day-to-day contact with customers, exchange information, and address issues directly and tactfully.
  • Develop and deliver technical, high-quality digital collateral, product prospectus, presentations, and business correspondence.
  • Collaborate with senior staff to coordinate product knowledge training sessions with internal and external customers.
  • Leverage technology for productivity and effective lead generation, account maintenance, sales and expense tracking, forecasting, account reviews, customer contact, presentations, etc.
  • Work collaboratively with internal support resources to develop teamwork.
  • Attend and present business unit products and services at industry conventions and trade shows.
  • Maintain extensive product knowledge in all product lines and service offerings.
  • Adhere to and enforce all company policies, pricing, and operational procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales, Construction Management, or related field, and 2-3 years of construction or industry experience, or
  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED with 5 years of construction or industry experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Four to ten years of related experience and/or training in the construction industry.
  • A minimum of two years of customer service experience.
  • Construction knowledge, including waterproofing, air barriers, framing, modular, etc.
  • Assembly line related product segments.
  • Basic knowledge of product chemistries.
  • Insulated Concrete Forms knowledge/experience a plus.
Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to travel extensively within assigned territory.
  • Well-organized, self-motivated, with outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or other CRM software experience preferred.
  • Possess a professional curiosity to figure out how things work or are put together.
  • Ability to retain knowledge and training.
  • Proven ability to understand, use, and manage your own emotions in positive ways to relieve stress, communicate effectively, empathize with others, overcome challenges, and diffuse conflict.

Physical Demands

Incumbent must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, kneel, talk, hear, and lift up to 25 lbs.

Benefits and Compensation

The salary range for applicants in this position generally starts at $85K and goes up based on experience. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operations, needs, and other considerations permitted by law.
