Customer Service Representative - Insurance

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team at Allco Fullerton Insurance Agency. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our policyholders, resolving billing issues, amending policies, and making policy suggestions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, potential clients, and companies we represent
  • Support teammates with follow-up for clients and prospects
  • Research and resolve coverage questions
  • Promptly respond to client needs
  • Maintain client files and process routine correspondence
  • Cultivate new opportunities and offer additional lines of insurance through consultative selling
  • Assist with other office duties as needed
  • Contact clients for concerns or complaints, provide solutions, and monitor the situation
  • Track current marketing activities and respond to insurance-related inquiries
  • Make accurate modifications to consumer policies
  • Keep track of customer inquiries and follow up to verify questions are answered
  • Confirm client insurance coverage and provide evidence of insurance papers

Requirements:

  • Fluency in Spanish, written and spoken
  • Ability to live within driving distance of our office location in Fullerton, CA, and have appropriate means of transportation
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and a calculator
  • Type quickly and accurately
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Organized, structured, punctual, and will follow the rules
  • Patient, respectful, reliable, trustworthy, friendly, supportive, articulate, kind, ethical, and honest
  • Property and Casualty license preferred (required within the first 60 days of employment)
  • Previous experience working within the insurance industry is a bonus
  • Possesses basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and customer database systems
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent needed
  • A general understanding of insurance policies and schedules is preferred
  • Excellent active listening, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Prior work in a customer-facing position or customer service role is required
