Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Insurance Customer Service Representative to join our team at Allco Fullerton Insurance Agency. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our policyholders, resolving billing issues, amending policies, and making policy suggestions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain working relationships with clients, potential clients, and companies we represent through phone, email, and written communication.
  • Support teammates with follow-up for clients and prospects, ensuring timely and effective communication.
  • Research and resolve coverage questions, providing accurate and timely responses to policyholders.
  • Promptly respond to client needs, either through phone or electronic communication, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain client files and process routine correspondence between our agency and the client or company, both paper records and software programs.
  • Cultivate new opportunities and offer additional lines of insurance through consultative selling, providing policyholders with tailored solutions to meet their needs.
  • Assist with other office duties as needed, ensuring a seamless and efficient work environment.
  • Contact clients for concerns or complaints, provide appropriate solutions, and monitor the situation to ensure the issue is resolved.
  • Track current marketing activities, enabling you to respond to insurance-related inquiries with the necessary resources.
  • Make accurate modifications to consumer policies based on the information provided.
  • Keep track of all customer inquiries and follow up to verify that all questions are answered regarding customer policies.
  • Confirm client insurance coverage and provide evidence of insurance papers to policyholders.

Requirements

  • Fluency in Spanish, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to live within driving distance of our office location in Fullerton, CA, and have appropriate means of transportation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and a calculator.
  • Quick and accurate typing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Organized, structured, punctual, and willing to follow rules.
  • Patient, respectful, reliable, trustworthy, friendly, supportive, articulate, kind, ethical, and honest.
  • Property and Casualty license preferred, required within the first 60 days of employment.
  • Previous experience working in the insurance industry is a bonus, but we will train and educate the successful candidate.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and customer database systems.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • General understanding of insurance policies and schedules preferred.
  • Excellent active listening, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Prior work in a customer-facing position or customer service role is required.
