Insurance Customer Service Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Insurance Customer Service Representative to join our team at Allco Fullerton Insurance Agency. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our policyholders, resolving billing issues, amending policies, and making policy suggestions.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain working relationships with clients, potential clients, and companies we represent through phone, email, and written communication.
- Support teammates with follow-up for clients and prospects, ensuring timely and effective communication.
- Research and resolve coverage questions, providing accurate and timely responses to policyholders.
- Promptly respond to client needs, either through phone or electronic communication, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Maintain client files and process routine correspondence between our agency and the client or company, both paper records and software programs.
- Cultivate new opportunities and offer additional lines of insurance through consultative selling, providing policyholders with tailored solutions to meet their needs.
- Assist with other office duties as needed, ensuring a seamless and efficient work environment.
- Contact clients for concerns or complaints, provide appropriate solutions, and monitor the situation to ensure the issue is resolved.
- Track current marketing activities, enabling you to respond to insurance-related inquiries with the necessary resources.
- Make accurate modifications to consumer policies based on the information provided.
- Keep track of all customer inquiries and follow up to verify that all questions are answered regarding customer policies.
- Confirm client insurance coverage and provide evidence of insurance papers to policyholders.
Requirements
- Fluency in Spanish, both written and spoken.
- Ability to live within driving distance of our office location in Fullerton, CA, and have appropriate means of transportation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and a calculator.
- Quick and accurate typing skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Organized, structured, punctual, and willing to follow rules.
- Patient, respectful, reliable, trustworthy, friendly, supportive, articulate, kind, ethical, and honest.
- Property and Casualty license preferred, required within the first 60 days of employment.
- Previous experience working in the insurance industry is a bonus, but we will train and educate the successful candidate.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and customer database systems.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- General understanding of insurance policies and schedules preferred.
- Excellent active listening, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Prior work in a customer-facing position or customer service role is required.
